The parcel

This wine comes from the Les Fournaux climat. Old vines occupy the lower slope, where the soil is deeper than in the section classified Premier Cru.

Winemaking & ageing

Grapes arrive in small crates and are sorted before vatting. Fermentation lasts around fifteen days with punch-downs, followed by barrel ageing with 20% new oak. Bellows-assisted racking limits handling.

Tasting notes

Sour cherry, blackcurrant and raspberry lead, developing woodland notes with age. The tannins remain restrained.
